It depends. Some new players that are used to play zonal, together at the same eleven should solve some big issues. But like you said it's more the defensive system that has to change first. Then we'll see who has quality to play, and who is going out.
I wwasa little bit worried about their offensive style at the pre season games. A big team like man utd should play to dominate their opponents, by forcing then to play on defense. What i liked in this game is that they had the initiative and controlled the game with the ball possession. But, it still lack a good positional game, to get the best ways to score. I mean the easiest ways, like have the ball controlled at the box, or crossing with superiority. For that they need more players around the ball.

I am disappointed with Van Gall. As he changed his ideias? Why 3 5 2? With this way of playing i think United will finish behing Arsenal City and Chelsea.
I believe that Utd does not need better players right now. Their offensive players are simply incredible. A team that does not play with Kagawa cannot complain about the lack of quality in their team.
I saw the game against Swansea and in comparison to the pre season matches, the defensive line was not kicking the ball as frequently as in the past games, which is fairly good. I hated both wingers performance. Jones is probably the best defender, specially if you play with 3 centre-backs. Young is disgusting. He is more simmilar to a 100metres runner athlete than to a footballer. Running and crossing the ball without criteria is what he likes.
Looking forward to see what LvG will do with Rojo.
